18 Piece Victorian Gilt Sterling Dresser/Vanity Set ~ London 1897

Magnificent 18 piece Victorian gilt sterling dresser/vanity set, London 1897. This is a very high quality set. All pieces are hallmarked for Sterling, London, 1897 and NM maker's mark (Norman Marshall). All are beautifully monogrammed. The larger pieces have ornate applied monograms and the 5 small pieces have engraved monograms.
The set is in very good condition. It has light wear to the gilt from polishing and the paper knife has some damage on the end of the blade. All of the glass is clean and in excellent condition with no chips, fleabites or cracks, just normal light wear scratches on the bottoms. All of the screw on caps are cork lined and the cork is in good condition. The cork on 3 of the caps is secured by a sterling disk. The sterling on this set is thick so you will only find only a few tiny dings. The beveled mirror has just a few small scratches on the glass. The brushes are all tight and even have a screw to help hold the sterling piece to the brush. The blade on the fruit knife is also gilt sterling and hallmarked Sheffield, 1890.
