11" Redware Clay Glazed Anniversary Plate Pennsylvania Folk Art Mid-Century.
This is a beautifully decorated redware plate for a 10th-anniversary gift. The front is engraved to “Ronald R. Seasholtz wed to Sue E. Decker" with the date “February 24, 1956.”
The front is also decorated with yellow decorative flowers, a double layered heart, leaves, and two bluebirds. The b
ack is engraved again “To Sue and Ronnie from Ann and Dad, 10th Anniversary 1956-1966." There is also a quote stating “To love and be loved is the greatest joy on Earth.” The plate is signed by a "D.R.H" on back.
Minor crazing due to age but no cracks in the pottery or glaze.
