Antique Asian Carved Sandalwood Hand Embroidered Silk Fan W/Original Lacquer Box.
Beautiful embroidered silk fan. Fan has hand sewn silk or silver like thread, flowers and birds.
Silk on fan has 4 very little holes in silk fabric that can be seen in pictures 2 and 3, none of these holes are on the embroidery and otherwise in very nice shape for age.
Very nice hand carved sandal wood with carvings of flowers.
Original lacquered box has beautiful painting of birds and flowers on silk cloth on inside lid with some kind of written mark on left side at top that can be seen in picture 9.
Outside of box does have paint chipped off or wearing off in spots. Latch for hook is missing.
Top of box has painting of bird on flowers in gold paint.
Side of box has sticker with markings.
Fan is 7 1/2" long and around 11" wide with fan open.
