Imperial German Pre World War I Prussian 73rd Infantry Officers Tunic.
The body is a dark blue wool that is red piped down the eight button front center. The numbers ‘73’ are separately applied on each white wool based shoulder board. Each cuff has three horizontal stripes with three buttons on a red wool base along with gold flat bullion wire tress. The collar has a red wool base with flat gold bullion wire tress and two Imperial German eagle buttons. There is a 2” separation on the left side of the collar. Has two loops for a ribbon bar on the upper left breast. The interior is a dark green padded cotton material with striped beige interior sleeves. Has some mothing and staining on the lower front. There are also some moth bites on the back. An approximate 36 to 38 size. Neat for display. Please look carefully at the photos to view the areas mentioned above. Very good condition.

UV lights; are just one tool and do not confirm post WWII production. Any man made /artificial threads, cloth will glow under UV, pointing to post 1945 manufacture, however badged uniforms / cloth items that have been washed over the years with modern detergents might also display a 'glow', you need to acquaint yourself and judge the piece as a whole.
