A lot of Two (2) Hand Crafted Mindimbit Village Ancestor Figures, Male & Female, Carved from Tropical Wood, Painted with Natural Pigments, Cowry Shell Eyes, Native Cordage, and Cassowary Bird Feathers on metal stands.

Circa: 1970s - 1995
Condition: The items are a little dusty and have some patination, but are otherwise ok.
Description: These figure show dramatic sculptural presence and quality carving and form. The privates are carved, but hidden under the fiber belts. The items show old style piercings in both the ears and noses. They were sold as a couple from a Northern California estate. These items were most likely made for the art gallery market. They are of very good quality and have a charismatic presence.
