Very Special Purple Guatemalan Huipil with Hand Embroidered Colorful Birds!

The traditional pattern of a huipil from Santiago Atitlan is distinctive and filled with birds. Many of the embroidered birds are not found in the area of Lake Atitlan. The ladies are resourceful and sometimes see photos of birds from other parts of the country or the world and embroider them on their huipiles. Here's a great example of that!
The hand embroidered colorful birds and leaves on this pretty purple huipil are expertly done and this huipil is a real treasure. I have included numerous photos so you can see them! There is even a bit of "bling" on both sides of the huipil.
