    Description

    Up for bids is this Vintage New Zealand Maori Wakahuia Carved Wood Abalone Eyes Box. This box was made by a member of the Maori tribe. The artist has signed the underside of the box with artists cypher. The box and sides of the box are completely covered in scrolled decoration and the top is carved with tiki totems that have abalone eyes which are pegged on through the center. Measures 5 15/16“ in length, 3 3/4“ in width, and stands 3 3/4“ in height. Great condition with no chips, crack, breaks, or repairs.
